Stories about Tzniut

Sefer Chasidim brings down a story about a righteous old woman who would always arrive to prayers and did many good deeds. After her death she appeared in dreams to a number of people. They asked her what it was like in the next world. She replied that they punish her with great vengeance and when all other Tzakikim and righteous women are in a state of happiness they expel her from amongst them. They informed her that her punishment was due to the fact that she would leave the Bait Kneset at the same time as the men. This caused them to look at her and have improper thoughts. She regretted not making the effort to leave a little earlier or stay a little later

Don't worry women, you have time to do Teshuvah, it is never too late to start being modest

Mrs. D from Bnei Brak became deathly ill with a rare sickness. Doctors said she only had a number of hours left to live. When the situation became worse she sent her husband out of the room because he was a Kohen. Her mother, who was standing in the room, was wearing a hat with a semi shaytel attached to it.

When her mother witnessed the severity of the situation she went into a private room and cried out "Hashem I accept upon myself to never wear a shaytel again, just give my daughter life!" She then took off her hat and ripped off the shaytel part, throwing it in the trash.

As she went back upstairs she saw the doctors running frantically around the bed. She overheard them saying that her daughter's heartbeat just went up and her blood pressure was suddenly stable. Within two weeks her daughter was released from the hospital in full health, Baruch Hashem!
