Yesod Yosef
The Tzedaka Where Every Penny Donated
Goes to Poor Families Living in Eretz Yisroel

All donations go through Paypals secure servers.

There are many different Tzedakas out there. When you invest money in a business you carefully research it before laying out funds. You should do the same before giving money to a charitable organization.  Although there are many worthy causes  there are  times a fundraiser will need to take a  large commission. There are office expenses, workers, administrators and many other overhead fees. After all expenses only a small part of the money goes to the actual cause.

Yesod Yosef was created to bypass this issue. Yesod Yosef is run completely by volunteers . All overhead is paid for by private donors. Every penny donated (other than what is lost in the withdrawal and exchange to shekalim) is given directly to poor families.

There are many reasons why families can be poverty stricken in Eretz Yisroel. Certain cities such as Tzfas have a very limited job market. There might be health problems or other obstacles that prevent a person from working. It could be that they do work but their meager salary is not enough to pay the bills and food expenses of their large family.

Yesod Yosef

  • All your money goes to poor families, no fundraiser commissions or overhead costs deducted.
  • Money is given out to poor families living in Eretz Yisroel.
  • Each family is carefully chosen.    (Many of the fathers are Talmidei Chachamim (Righteous Scholars).
  • Money is given out on Thursday nights. This lines up with the Sefirah of Yesod and is a very large Tikkun for Pgam Habris.
  • Yesod Yosef is a tax exempt organization and can offer tax deductible receipts.
  • All families on the fund have children.
  • Money is given out in Cash to save recipients from embarrassment.
  • All money is given out Mattan Bsesser (Given Anonymously).   Which is the highest level of Tzedaka; we have a number of methods of doing this.
  • Each family receives 100 shekel a week ($30 depending on current worth of dollar) this almost insures that the money will be used for base necessities.
  • Periodic checkups are done on each family to see that they are still in need.
  • Families are only approved after a number of references have been checked.
