Amalek [amolek, amalk, omolek, amolek]
The worst of the nations, who is in constant war with Yisroel Also referring to their spiritual counterparts as names of various kelipot.

Aryos [areyes, arayos]
Improper sexual relations with relatives or married people.


Averah [avirah, avira, avera]
Committing a sin by breaking one of the laws of the Torah or the rules set by the Sages.


Breslev [bresslev, breslov, bresslov, bratslab, bratslav, bratslov, breslv, bressliver, breslever, breslover, bresslever, bresslover] The group of people who follow the teachings of the holy tzadik Rebbe Nachman.

Brit [bris]
Circumcision or the part of the male body where the circumcision was preformed. Also means covenant, generally referring to the sexual guidelines defined by the Kabbalah.

Chitzonyim [chetzonim, chitzonim]
External forces of the side of evil.

Erev Rav [erv rav, rev]
A group of people who are technically Jewish but are servants to the forces of evil.

Gemarah [gemora, gmarah, gimara gimarah] Please see talmud.

Halacha [hlacha, halochos, halachs, halachos, halocha]
Rules of the Jewish code of law established by the Torah and the Holy Sages. It is not possible for a person to be Shomer Habris and reach high levels of holiness unless he follows the rules of Halacha.

Hirhurim [hirrhurim, hirhorim, hirrhorim]
Impure Sexual Thoughts.

Hisbodidute [hisbodedut, hisbodedot, hitbodidute hitbodedut, hitbodedot]
Rebbe Nachman's meditation where a person sets aside time to talk to Hashem. This can be done anywhere but preferably in the forest. The suggested amount of time for this is one hour a day. This is actually avery ancient practice that was done by all prophets and Jews.

A body of water holding forty sah of uncarried water. Used to purify ones self by immersing in it. Going to the Mikvah is one of the basic requirements for repairing past sins and to maintain the ability to be sexually pure.

Homosexuality. This is a severe transgression in the Torah and greatly defiles a persons soul and life. Although some people might be tested with this due to impure actions committed in this life time or in past reincarnations, it is nevertheless completely forbidden and can be controlled.

Shmiras Anayim shomer anayim

Shmiras Habris [Shmras Bris, Shomri Habris, Shmirat Habrit, Shomer Habris, Shomer Habrit, Shomr Bris]
The act of remaining sexually pure and behaving according to Halacha.

Shmiras Hamachshavah [machshva, macshave]
Guarding the mind from thinking sexual thoughts. Using preventive techniques to prevent the thoughts from occurring or to remove them if they do occur.

Shovavim [shovavvim shvovim shavovim shavvavim shovavm]
The six weeks of the year that are very powerful for Shmiras Habris. Tikkunim done during these weeks are counted more then usual. Many Kabbalists would do 84 fasts during this time. The weeks are Shemos, Varah, Bo, Beshalach, Yisro, Mishpatim who's acronym is ShVaVVYM. On a leap year it is Shovavim Tat adding the weeks of Terumah Tezaveh.

Spilling Seed
The act of Masturbation, releasing seed without a receiving vessel. This is a very severe sin according to Halacha and according to the Kabbalah this is one of the most damaging acts a man can do.

A sefer written by Rebbe Aharon Ruteh (Reb Aaron Roth) on Shmiras Habris.

Talmod

Tavos [tavot, tavah, tavvah]
Lust, improper desires for unneeded physical luxuries as well as improper sexual desires.

Tehilim [thilim, thillim, tehillim, tehilm, tihilm, tehhilim]
Book of Psalms that was composed by King Dovid to be recited by all Jews in all future generations. Reciting Tehilim with even no concentration and understanding is still a very large tikkun.

Teshuva [tesuva, teshuvah, tishuva, tishuvah, tshuva, tshuvah]
Repentance, doing repentance. There is never any person even in the worst situation that can not repent.

Tikkun [ Tikun, Tikkunim, Tikunim]
A rectification of the spiritual damage caused by a persons sins.

Tikkun Chatzos [chazoos, chatzot , chazot]
A ritual involving awakening in the middle of the night to recite lamentations over the destruction of the temple and personal sins.

Tikkun Habris [Tikun Bris, Tikkun Habrit, Tikun Brit, Tikkunay Habris, Tikunay Habrit]
Rectifying the damage created through sexual sins.

Tikkun Haklali [Tikun Hklali, Clali, Kelali, Tikkun Haclali, Tikun Klali]
A Tikkun revealed by Rebbe Nachman of Breslov to rectify spiritual damage especially from sexual sins.

Tikun Yesod [Tikkun Yesod, Tikunay Hayesod, Tikuny Yesod, Tikkunay Yesod]
Rectifying the damage to the Sefira of Yesod, often caused by sexual sins.

Tivilah [tivila, tvilah, tovel, tvel, tivelah, tivela]
Immersing in a Mikvah or other body of water as properly defined in Halacha to remove impurity.


Tumah [tuma, tomah, toma]
Impurity, sometimes but not always referring to sexual impurity.

Tzadik [tzadic, tzadick, zadic, zadik]
A holy and righteous person. Also used to refer specifically to a person that has full control over his sexual desires.

Tzniut [tznius, tzneus, tzneot, tznuah, tznuot]
When a women acts properly and modestly according to the ways of the Torah.

Umon Rosh Hashanah [Uman Rosh Hashanah, Hashana]
Going to the gathering of the Holy Tzadik Rebbe Nachman of Breslov for Rosh Hashanah.

Wasting seed [wasting semen, wasting sperm]
The act of masturbation which is considered one of the worst sins according to the Kabbalah.

Yesod [Sefirah of yesod, Sefira of Yesod, Sefirat Yesod]
One of the ten sefirot that lines up with the sexual parts of the body and the bris.

Yesod Yosef
A book published about the sin of wasting seed. The book has a number of commentaries.

Yichudim [yechudim, yichdim, yichudem]
Kabbalistic meditations, many based on the writings of the ARI. Most of the meditations involve combining and permeating letters and divine names in the minds eye.

Yisroel [yisroil, yisrael, israel]
The Jewish nation. Also refers to the title given to the person or group of people given the responsibility of rectifying the world, which is currently held by the Jewish nation.

Yosef Hatzadik [hatzadic, hatzadick, htzadik, htzadic]
Biblical hero who was known for his ability to overcome sexual temptation in even the hardest circumstances.

Zera [zerah]
Literally meaning seed or seminal fluid.


Zera Levatala [zera lvatalah, zera livatolah, livtoleh, livatala, levatalah, lvatala, levotala, levatalah]
Wasting seed, or the act of masturbation. Having seed emitted from the body in a way not permissible according to Halacha.


Zivug [zivag, zivg]
Soulmate or the person that one is destined to marry.

Zonah [zana, zona]
Prostitute, a women who causes people to sin or walks around dressed immodestly.


Zinus [znos, znus,zns, mizaneh, mzaneh, miznah, mezanah]
Literally means adultery but is also refers to any out of marriage relationships.

Zohar [book of the zohar, zhr, zoher, zhoar ]
One of the main books of the Kabbalah written by Rebbe Shimon bar Yochi and his students.

Zuhama [zuhamah, zohma]
Impurity or defilement, referring to the spiritual filth created by improper sexual actions.
